Esam Al Fahim Victorious in Al Ain as Sultan Al Jassmey Wins Junior Division

(Al Ain, UAE) – On January 13, 2017, the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) hosted the January National Monthly Medal at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club. 34 United Arab Emirates (UAE) national golfers and 12 national junior golfers gathered to compete in the first National Monthly Medal of 2018.

Winning his second National Monthly Medal of the 2017-2018 season was Esam Al Fahim. With 37 Stableford Points and after a back nine count back Esam found himself taking home the top prize. Esam has had a strong start to the season as he has won twice and finished second in all three National Monthly Medals this season.

Finishing as the Runner-Up for the event was after losing the count back was Sultan Al Ali with 37 points. Coming in Third Place was Rashid Al Emadi with a total of 34 Stableford Points.

National Team member, Khalid Yousuf collected the Best Gross prize by shooting a 69, one-under-par.

Awards were also given based on handicap with an A-Division (0-14 handicap) and B-Division (14-24 handicap) winners. Winning the A-Division Prize was Reema Al Heloo with 32 Stableford Points. Hassan Al Qemzi won the Division-B prize with 34 Stableford Points.

The event also had two “On Course Challenges” up for grabs. Taking home the Longest Drive Award was Sohail Al Marzouqi. Winning the Nearest to the Pin Award was Yaslam Al Ameri.

During the event, the EGF hosted 12 members of the National Foundation Squad for National Monthly Medal Junior Series sponsored by eGolf Megastore on the Academy Course. The winner of the competition received an invite to tee it up with a pro at the “15th Tee Challenge” during the 2018 Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship presented by EGA. The lucky winner was Sultan Al Jassmey with a 32 gross score.

The Runner-up for the National Monthly Medal Junior Series sponsored by E-Golf Megastore was Abdulla Kalbat with a 34 gross score and Rashid Al Jassmey finished in Third Place with a 36 gross score.
