Adel Al Hajeri Wins First National Monthly Medal of the 2021-2022 Season

Over 30 players participate in the Par 3 Division
(Al Ain, UAE) – On November 27, 2021, the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) hosted the first National Monthly Medal at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club since the CoVid-19 pandemic hit the world. You can tell the golfers were excited to be back as 72 United Arab Emirates (UAE) national golfers and gathered to compete in the first National Monthly Medal since December 2019.
Winning the first National Monthly Medal of the 2021-2022 season was Adel Al Hajeri. With 40 Stableford Points, Adel found himself in great form after the long break.
Finishing as the Runner-Up for the event was Saleh Al Ameri with 38 points. Coming in Third Place was Sultan Al Nasseri with a total of 37 Stableford Points.
Collecting the Best Gross prize by shooting a 76 was Nabil Sharif.
There were five individuals that took part in the Senior Division. Emirates Golf Federation Vice-Chairman Mr. Adel Zarouni won the Senior Division. Collecting 42 points Mr. Zarouni had one of his best rounds in years.
Awards were also given based on handicap with an A-Division (0-14 handicap) and B-Division (14-24 handicap) winners. Winning the A-Division Prize was Akram Skaik with 36 Stableford Points. Ali Saeed Al Afreet won the Division-B prize with 35 Stableford Points.
Eight ladies competed in the Ladies Division. Coming in first place in her first National Monthly Medal was Sara Ali with 36 points. Finishing in Second Place was Dr. Rabab Al Haj with 35 points and rounding off the top-three was Alia Al Emadi with 29 points.
In the Junior Division, the EGF had 12 juniors compete for the top three spots. Coming in first place after a countback was Sultan Al Owais with 39 points. Finishing in Second Place after the countback was Mohammed Skaik with 39 points and rounding off the top-three was Ali Al-Haj with 29 points.
One of the biggest stories of the day was that the EGF hosted over 30 members of the National Foundation Squad on the Academy Par 3 Course. Coming in First Place was Abdulla Salmine. The Runner-up was Asma Almeqbaali and in Third Place was Fatima Kalbat.
The event also had two “On Course Challenges” up for grabs. Taking home, the Longest Drive Award was Hamda Al Suwaidi. Winning the Nearest to the Pin Award was Mohammed Skaik.
